Have a Race Day Outfit!
Have a kit that is only used on Race Day.
Not just jersey and shorts, but socks, shoes, gloves, glasses, helmet and BIKE!
The whole lot!
(OK, on the downside this can be expensive.)
However, on Race Day you will be switched on!
